After its initial introduction at the Hanover international conference O.B.S was again the subject of a lecture at the Edinburgh International Conference on Coasts Marine Structures and Breakwaters September of 2009.

Dr. Andreas Kortenhaus (Ph.D. Dr Eng) senior researcher at the Technical University of Brounschweig discussed in detail the O.B.S System as an alternative to traditional construction methods for breakwaters, harbors and deep water wind turbine basis.
